DEEPER EXPLANATION
This song is essentially about having a deeper relationship with God and prayer is the path that leads to it. James 4:8 says: "Draw night (near ) to God and He will draw nigh to you. This song is about that deeper prayer where we allow God to draw us deeper into Him. The lines that refer to "Home.." is the realisation of how far we are away from Him until He draws us deeper into Him though prayer, in other words, we "come home" to knowing Him in a deeper relationship with Him the way we should always have known Him. The wounded Hands refer to the fact that He Died for us and His Sacrifice opened many possibilities to us that were not there for us before.
